When you pot up your dragon fruit some will produce many branches. It is best to focus your plants energy into 1 or 2.

These are 6 month old cuttings that are ready for training. 

Select 1 or 2 branches and remove the rest. This will help your plant to grow taller quicker to reach the top of your trellis faster, in turn producing fruit quicker than a wild branchy cutting.

These trained dragon fruit plants will be ready to go onto a post in 2-3 weeks they just need to be introduced to full sun and hardened gradually.
