- Spring (August - October):Plants come out of dormancy as daylight hours increase. New shoots and buds start forming.
- Summer (November - February): Peak growth and fruiting period. Flowers bloom at night, and fruit develops.
- Autumn (March - May):Late-season fruiting may continue, but growth starts to slow as temperatures drop. This can slow the ripening of fruit and sometimes the seeds will begin to sprout before the fruit ripens
- Winter (June - July):Dormant phase; plants conserve energy and require minimal watering.
