Sin Espinas Dragon Fruit


Description:

Originating from Nicaragua, Sin Espinas produces oval, medium-sized fruit averaging around 390g.

The fruit features red flesh with red skin and green fins, making it both striking and marketable.

One of the standout traits of this variety is that it is completely thornless — a huge advantage for growers and home gardeners alike.

It produces a white flower and takes approximately 43 days from flower to harvest.

In a University of California evaluation this variety rated 2.25 for cold hardiness and 2.75 for heat tolerance out of 5. We find this variety does do better with a bit of dappled sunlight. 

Pollination: Self-sterile and requires cross-pollination.

Sweet with cherry-like characteristics and a very firm flesh that holds shape beautifully.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
