Kathy Van Arum Dragon Fruit

Kathy Van Arum is a strong grower and heavy fruiter, producing consistent crops of small to medium-sized fruit.
The flowers are a striking pink to purple, and when dried, they create a beautiful dragon fruit flower tea.

This variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination.

Pink Panther is an excellent pollen match, and we’ve also had reliable fruit set simply by planting a diverse mix of dragon fruit nearby.

For best results, we recommend planting Tropical Pink, Pink Panther, or Voodoo Child — these varieties typically flower about a week after Kathy and complement her perfectly.

The fruit features pearl-pink flesh with green to pale red skin.
Kathy Van Arum was created by German hybridizer Eckhard Meier and is known to be somewhat cold sensitive, so protection may be required in cooler climates.
