This hybrid is highly recommended as a reliable commercial red type, producing consistently large fruit with vibrant red–magenta flesh. Fruit typically ranges from 500–800g, making it an excellent choice for both commercial growers and backyard enthusiasts wanting strong, productive plants.
The plant is non–self-pollinating and benefits from cross-pollination. It is an aggressive, vigorous grower with thick stems and prominent thorns. This hybrid has also shown excellent tolerance to extreme weather, performing exceptionally well in varied Australian growing conditions.
Started to Flower in November and fruit was pick just before Christmas.
This variety was originally purchased from Lee Dragon Fruit and is now listed as a hybrid on their website. It was sold as true Tricia, however it does not match the true Tricia characteristics. We now have genuine Tricia growing, and it will be available soon.
