Capistrano Valley- H. Undatus X H.Guatemalensis Californian Dragon Fruit

Description:

This fast-growing dragon fruit variety produces pink-skinned fruit with green fins and bright white flesh packed with seeds. Typically weighing 350–650g, it is known to occasionally push close to 1kg, making it an impressive option for home and commercial growers alike.

A self-fertile variety and a universal pollinator, it’s highly versatile in any collection. As a seedling of Delight, it inherits strong growth and productivity.

While it can be rust during seasonal transitions, its vigorous nature allows it to bounce back quickly, so this seldom becomes a major issue.

Fruit generally ripens in around 32 days, making it one of the quicker white-fleshed varieties to enjoy.

Taste:

A slightly sweeter white variety, considered one of the best undatus and noticeably different from Delight. In a good year, it can achieve a BRIX of 17.

A Note About Our Dragon Fruit Cuttings

Our dragon fruit cuttings are grown naturally on a busy, productive farm, so you may notice a few minor blemishes—especially on the larger pieces. These marks are completely normal and can occur for many reasons, including:

  • Spines rubbing against neighboring branches

  • Weather exposure such as wind, sun, or seasonal storms

  • Insect activity

  • Healed scars from past growth

These cosmetic imperfections do not affect the health, performance, or productivity of the plant. In fact, larger cuttings often sprout faster, establish more quickly, and produce fruit sooner thanks to their maturity and stored energy.

Every cutting is carefully selected for quality, vigour, and true-to-type growth—so you can plant with confidence knowing you’re starting with strong, healthy stock.
