White Dragon Fruit – Sunshine Coast Selection (Selenicereus undatus Type)
Description:
This white-fleshed dragon fruit variety produces large round fruit with pink skin and white flesh, making it both attractive and productive. Fruit typically ranges from 500 g to 850 g, with a thick skin that helps protect the fruit during handling and transport.
The plant produces large white flowers that release plenty of pollen, making it an excellent pollen source for cross-pollination with other dragon fruit varieties. This variety is self-sterile, so it requires another dragon fruit plant nearby to set fruit.
It is a vigorous grower and has shown strong performance in warm climates. The fruit’s round shape makes it ideal for snacking or lunch-box-sized servings, despite the generous fruit size.
This variety was sourced from the Northern Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
