PINK PEARL Dragon Fruit Variety (K) 6.15

Description

This variety comes highly recommended for growers in Queensland and SEQ, thanks to its reliable flowering and strong fruit consistency. The plant produces a white flower followed by red skin and vibrant pink flesh, delivering excellent colour and presentation.

It has flowered and produced fruit without hand-pollination, suggesting it may be self-pollinating, although further testing is underway to confirm. Growth habits are standard, making it suitable for most backyard trellis designs and pot setups.

This selection was sourced from a Queensland dragon fruit hobby grower, and fruit size typically ranges from 150–300 g, ideal for fresh eating, slicing, and desserts.

Taste

• Brix: 15 in the first season, increasing to 19.3 in the second season

• Sweet, berry-pear flavour with a soft, juicy texture

• Crunchy seeds and full, rounded flavour

• Flesh texture is similar to a soft, juicy pear, making it a great choice for smoothies, fruit platters, and chilled desserts

A reliable performer for warm, humid and subtropical conditions, and well suited to growers across South East Queensland.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm 

Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
