Asunta Dragon Fruit

Asunta is a striking hybrid variety developed from Hylocereus stenopterus × Hylocereus guatemalensis, valued for both its impressive flowers and refreshing fruit.

The flowers are particularly eye-catching, with inner petals ranging from pink to purple, and are excellent for drying and using as dragon fruit tea.

Plant & Fruit Characteristics

• Hybrid: Hylocereus stenopterus × Hylocereus guatemalensis

• Pollination: Self-sterile – requires cross-pollination. Recommend growing tropical pink or Hot Pink lady they flower around the same time. 

• Flower: Large, decorative bloom with pink to purple inner petals

• Skin colour: Green to yellow

• Flesh colour: White

Taste Profile

• Sweet with a gentle hint of cinnamon

• Flavour reminiscent of peach or nectarine

• Very refreshing

• Brix: 18-20

A beautiful dual-purpose variety, prized for its ornamental flowers and clean, fruit-forward flavour.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm 

Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
