Armando originated from the border of Honduras and Nicaragua and was collected by R. Lobo in Las Manos from an area where it naturally occurs DNA test shows this variety is related to San Ignacio, a Dragon Fruit variety that is grown commercially in Nicaragua.
A great variety for southern states as it can tolerate some light frost and heat very well.
This would be a good dragon fruit to grow in southern states

Red skin- Red Flesh 
White flower with yellow calyx
41 days from flower to fruit
Sourced from a Qld Hobby grower

Taste:
Firm flesh with a pleasant sweetness at the end, a great quality fruit.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm 

Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
