Hylocereus ‘Alice’

Alice is a well-known variety named by Californian fruit grower Alice Snow. It produces attractive, rounded fruit and is valued for its reliable performance and balanced flavour.

This variety is self-fertile, making it a great option for home growers, while still offering commercial-quality fruit size and presentation.


Plant & Fruit Characteristics

  • Self-pollinating: Yes (self-fertile)

  • Flower: Extra-large white flowers

  • Growth: Medium growth rate; can show some rust sensitivity

  • Skin colour: Pink skin with green fins

  • Skin thickness: Approx. 5 mm

  • Flesh colour: White

  • Fruit size: Large, approx. 450–500 g

  • Shape: Rounded


Taste Profile

  • Crunchy seeds

  • Sweet when perfectly ripe, with full flavour and a pleasing texture

  • Subtle tang reminiscent of a non-acidic kiwi fruit

  • Brix: ~13

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm 

Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
