Plant Type: Annual cover crop
Best Time to Sow (QLD): Autumn to early winter
Sun: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Well-drained, but tolerant of poor soils

Sowing:
Direct sow seeds 1–2 cm deep into prepared soil
Space 10–20 cm apart or broadcast for cover cropping

Germination: 3–7 days in warm soil

Allow plants to grow and develop large roots. Once mature, they can be:

• Cut and left in place as mulch
• Slashed before flowering
• Left to naturally break down in the soil

As they decompose, they feed your soil and improve structure — no digging required.
