Description:
Mexican Mint (Coleus amboinicus) is a versatile edible herb and excellent companion plant for the garden. Known by many names including Cuban Oregano and Mother of Herbs, this hardy plant is valued for both its culinary uses and its ability to help deter insects in outdoor growing areas.

The plant produces soft, aromatic leaves and small white flowers that attract native bees and beneficial insects, making it a great addition to food forests, vegetable gardens, and permaculture systems.

Mother of Herbs also makes an excellent indoor plant when placed in a warm room with plenty of natural light. It grows quickly and can be used as a living mulch, groundcover, or grown in pots and hanging baskets.
