Hylocereus peruvianus
The Peruvian White Dragon Fruit variety comes from the genus Hylocereus and the species perivianus.
It is a terrestrial plant of the open woodlands in the northern coastal area of Sechura to the Rio Saa valley, Peru.
This Dragon fruit has a bright pink exterior with green fins.
White flesh
Self-pollinating.
Both the growths of limbs and flowers are like typical Hylocereus. The stems grew and matured much slower compared to Hylocereus undatus.
We acquired this variety from a grower in NSW
Taste:
Very juicy.
The flavour of the fruit is semi-sweet with lots of small crunchy seeds
Brix 21.5 our first fruit was 12.5 we really hope as this plant develops the brix increase. let you know next season
Care:
Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow points up to the sky.
Regular Fertilizer
Water once the soil has dried out.
Once rooted transfer onto a post.
