The Red Jaina Dragon Fruit variety comes from the genus Hylocereus and an unknown dragon fruit species.
This variety is one of the heaviest fruit producers once it is mature.
The fruit weighs 300- 400g
Self-sterile and requires x pollination, But has pollen that can be used as a universal pollinator. Recommended growing on a mixed dragon fruit post to help fruit set.
New growth has a hint of purple/ red similar to Red Crystal and Bloody Mary.
Planted late 2023 fruits abundantly through out 2025 season
Sourced from a Queensland dragon fruit enthusiast. I have 2 in my collection both from different sources and I will keep you posted on how they progress as they flower and fruit.
Care:
Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.
Regular Fertilizer
Water once the soil has dried out.
Once rooted transfer onto a post.
