Red Jade Dragon Fruit – Bundaberg Selection (Selenicereus sp.)

Description:
This dragon fruit variety was found growing on a farm in Bundaberg, Queensland and has since been referred to as Red Jade. Despite sharing the name, it is not related to the red-flowered Red Jade variety, they simply share the same name.

This plant is a vigorous grower that produces very large (XL) fruit, making it a promising option for growers looking for strong production and impressive fruit size.

The plant produces large white flowers typical of many dragon fruit varieties and performs well in warm climates.

Plant Characteristics

  • Discovered on a Bundaberg farm, Queensland

  • Known as Red Jade (not related to the red-flowered Red Jade)

  • Vigorous-growing plant

  • Produces XL fruit

  • Large white flowers

Taste:
Sweet fruit with a pleasant berry-like flavour.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm 

Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
