Thai Red is a striking deep red–fleshed dragon fruit variety with strong commercial potential. The fruit features deep red skin with contrasting green fin tips and richly pigmented dark red flesh, making it highly desirable for both fresh fruit markets and value-added products.
This variety was sourced from a New South Wales dragon fruit enthusiast and originally came via a distribution depot in the Philippines, where similar lines are grown widely for commercial production across Asia. Thai Red is self-fertile, offering reliable fruit set without the need for cross-pollination.
Fruit size averages 450–500 g, sitting comfortably in the ideal commercial range with good consistency.
