Betel leaf is a perennial creeper to 90 cm looks great in hanging baskets, large pots, and as a ground cover/ green mulch in a permaculture setting.
Taste:
Spicy leaves can be eaten raw and cooked.
It produces white flower spikes that develop into a small fruit that can be eaten.
I love it with rice, fish and ginger.
