Making with your hands is a great form of well-being and highly correlated with happiness; there’s nothing quite like your own creation, with all of its imperfections completely unique to the creator!
There are also numerous benefits to getting your hands dirty with soil, including triggering the release of serotonin in the brain - a natural anti-depressant and immune system booster.
Koke” translates to moss, and “dama” translates to ball, and this traditional natural art was created to display the exposed root ball of the plant, highlighting the complexity and beauty of nature.
Kokedama are great for hanging in the caravan for our travellers, as they don’t take up too much space and can be suspended from the roof or a shelf. They are equally great for our stationary friends, adding greenery and purification to the home!
There are a few different ways to make Kokodama we can do the standard moss ball or incorporate local fibers of paper bark, coconut or cabbage palm fiber
