Description:
Ready to harvest when they turn yellow and develop some purple stripes/markings. They taste exactly like a sweet melon when ripe- rockmelon or honeydew is what I would compare them to.
They grow to around 1m a small shrub similar to a tomato or eggplant.
Looks great in the veggie patch or in a nice glazed pot on a balcony or amongst herbs.
Self-pollinating
They fruit through February, March, April, May, and June. Mine are flowering now in May.
Care:
Plant in full sun or partial shade.
Can be grown from stem cutting
Like rich well-drained soil
Prune hard after flowering to keep it neat and promote further growth and keep moist in hot weather.
