Description: A fast-growing rainforest tree with vibrant red pods that open when ripe to expose the edible glossy black seeds.

These seeds are tasty and are similar in flavour to a peanut. The leaves were also used by aboriginals to heal wounds.
The fruiting months are August through to December.
Can grow to 10m but can be pruned lower.

Deciduous and this will also depend on your climate zone.,.
