Maria Fuchsia Dragon fruit

Maria Fuchsia Dragon Fruit – Selenicereus sp.

Description:
Maria Fuchsia is a highly regarded dragon fruit variety that was originally sold and distributed worldwide as a mislabelled Maira Rosa (from El Creek). Despite the mix-up, this plant proved to be so productive and delicious that it has been retained and now goes by the name Maria Fuchsia.

This variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination to produce fruit. The plant is very productive, producing fruit in waves from spring through to autumn.

Maria Fuchsia produces beautiful purple flesh with red skin and minimal green fins, giving the fruit a striking appearance. The fruit skin is moderately thick, providing good protection while maintaining a generous flesh-to-seed ratio.

The plant produces white flowers and typically develops medium to large fruit weighing around 400–500 g. With its strong productivity and attractive fruit, Maria Fuchsia is considered a high-quality variety with good commercial potential.
