This taro was developed for its yield of edible leaves and stems rather than its roots.

Uses:
NEVER EAT TARO RAW.
The leaves and leaf stems are eaten as cooked, green vegetables; the stems are widely used as a celery substitute in tropical areas. They provide protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium and vitamins A, B, and C.
Care:
Thrives in warm, wet conditions is best suited to subtropical and tropical areas
The roots produce heaps of small bulbils that, if disturbed, can spread rapidly.
Can be frost sensitive
Plant in full sun or partial shade.
Can be grown from stem cutting
