Vanilla planifolia 'Variegata' (Variegated Vanilla)

Variegated Vanilla Orchid – Vanilla planifolia

Description:
This rare variegated vanilla orchid is prized for its beautiful cream and green variegated foliage, making it both a productive spice plant and an ornamental feature in the garden or home.

Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) is a climbing orchid vine that can be grown indoors in cooler climates or outdoors in warm, humid regions. In southern areas it makes a stunning indoor vine, while in tropical and subtropical climates it can be grown outdoors as a small climbing vine in sheltered positions.

Vanilla plants grow vigorously during the warm summer months, while growth slows or pauses during winter until temperatures warm again in spring. Like all vanilla orchids, the flowers must be hand-pollinated to produce vanilla pods.
