Royal Red Dragon Fruit – Hylocereus polyrhizus Hybrid
Description
Royal Red is a hybrid dragon fruit variety from the genus Hylocereus, primarily polyrhizus, with another species currently unknown.
This variety is widely recognised as a commercial cropping variety in Asia, valued for its strong production and reliable fruit set.
Our plant was planted in late 2023 and produced its first fruit in late 2024, showing promising fruit size and flavour.

This variety was sourced from a NSW hobby dragon fruit grower.
Taste
A smooth, sweet flavour with notes of honey and plum, and no sourness.
The flesh is smooth with seeds that are barely noticeable, giving the fruit a pleasant eating texture.
BRIX: 17.8
(First fruit measured 16.5 BRIX).
Care:
Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.
Regular Fertilizer
Water once the soil has dried out.
Once rooted transfer onto a post.

All items are posted on a Monday Express post, with Australia Post. If Monday is a public holiday they will be sent the Tuesday or the following Monday depending on the destination. We aim to deliver healthy and happy plants :)
