Asunta 3 is a hybrid dragon fruit variety derived from Hylocereus stenopterus and Hylocereus guatemalensis. It represents the third generation in the Asunta line, with the Condor variety believed to be the other parent, contributing to its distinctive purple flesh.
This variety performs well in full sun and produces a beautiful night-blooming flower.
Self-sterile – requires cross-pollination
Growth: Vigorous and sun tolerant
Flower: Medium-sized purple flower with inner petals shading from purple to light pink with white tips

Fruit size: First fruit weighed 560 g
Skin: Peach-coloured with lemon-lime coloured fins
Flesh: Pink to purple
Texture: Firm, juicy flesh with slightly crunchy seeds
BRIX: 19–21
A delicious flavour profile with notes of melon, lychee, and cherry.
Care:
Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
