Lady Elliot Dragon Fruit – Selenicereus sp.
Description:
This dragon fruit variety was collected from Lady Elliot Island in 2021. The cutting was shared with us by Kevin from Sustainable Cuisine in Palmwoods, who originally took a cutting while visiting the island.
This plant produces extra-large fruit with pink skin and white flesh. The variety requires cross-pollination to set fruit.
It has proven to be a unique coastal variety, likely well adapted to warm, sunny growing conditions.
Very hardy for a white makes for a great rootstock plant

Taste:
A refreshing fruit with bright lemony tangy flavours. The citrus-like flavour pairs beautifully with savoury dishes — we love it diced with avocado for a fresh guacamole served with corn chips.
