Red Dragon Fruit – hylocereus polyrhizus 

Description:
This dragon fruit variety produces red skin with green fins and vibrant purple-red flesh, creating an attractive fruit both on the plant and when cut open.

The plant is a fast-growing variety that produces large white flowers typical of many dragon fruit species. While the plant may be capable of setting fruit on its own, cross-pollination is recommended, as this has not yet been fully tested.

Our first fruit weighed around 302 g, and we expect the fruit size to increase as the plant matures. The fruit also has a thick skin measuring around 7–8 mm, which helps protect it during handling and transport.

Taste:
Sweet, pleasant flavour with firm flesh and seeds that are barely noticeable.

Care: 

Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm

Regular Fertilizer 

Water once the soil has dried out.

Once rooted transfer onto a post.
