American Beauty originated in Guatemala and was later introduced to Florida, USA.
This well-known variety comes from Hylocereus and the species guatemalensis, and is prized for its striking colour and consistently high eating quality.

American Beauty can be sensitive to full sun and generally performs best in a protected environment or partial shade.

Rating: 8.8/9
Brix up to 19.5
Flavour: pineapple infused with watermelon and juicy berry notes
Lower fruit production in 2020/2021 (first year, cold protection needed)
Always improves with cross-pollination
Slight cold sensitivity when young
Considered one of the top dragon fruit varieties despite slower growth
Care:
Plant into an excellent quality potting mix to a depth of 2-3 cm
Your dragon fruit will be marked with an arrow, plant ^ Arrow point up to the sky.

Water once the soil has dried out.
