Naomi – White-Fleshed Dragon Fruit
Naomi is a new dragon fruit variety introduced in 2023, with its first successful fruit harvested on New Year’s Eve 2025. While it flowered in 2024 without progressing, the plant established well and went on to fruit properly the following season, showing good promise as it matures.
This variety was gifted from a Rockhampton dragon fruit farm and produces eye-catching fruit with pink skin and long green fins. The rind is approximately 5 mm thick, offering a good balance between protection and eating quality. Fruit weight to date has averaged around 370 g, with potential for larger fruit in future seasons.
The flesh is white with a slight translucence, giving it a fresh, elegant appearance. Naomi is particularly impressive when served chilled and stands out for its refined flavour and texture.
