Cerise Dragon Fruit – Selenicereus sp.
Description:
Cerise (pronounced Siri:z) is a striking dragon fruit variety known for its beautiful deep red colouring. The name Cerise comes from the French word for cherry, referring to the fruit’s rich reddish-pink tones.
This variety produces red flesh with pink skin and green fins, creating an attractive fruit both on the plant and when cut open. The plant produces large white flowers and is self-pollinating, making it a reliable option for home gardeners and small orchards.
Cerise typically produces large fruit ranging from 400–700 g, offering a generous harvest from a vigorous plant.
This variety originated from Tamborine Dragon Fruit Farm in Queensland, where it was developed and selected for its colour, flavour, and fruit size.
