You will receive 12 freshly collected fertile chicken eggs from our mixed flock. Because we collect eggs fresh for each order, please allow up to 2 weeks for your dozen eggs to be collected.

Our chickens are free-ranging, and we regularly introduce/change our roosters to help maintain diverse genetics within our flock.

As all of our hens share the same area, we cannot identify exactly which hen has laid each egg. Your dozen will therefore be a random mixed selection.

Fertility & Hatching

We only supply fresh fertile eggs from our breeding flock and have experienced good fertility ourselves.

However, we cannot guarantee hatch rates. Once eggs leave our farm, successful hatching can be affected by Australia Post handling, temperature during transport, storage, incubator settings, humidity and the incubation process.

Egg colours and sizes will vary depending on the hen and may range from white through to different shades of brown.

Important Information After Delivery

After postage, allow your eggs to rest pointy-end down for approximately 24 hours before placing them in your incubator.

 Chicken eggs generally take approximately 21 days to hatch once incubation begins.

Newly hatched chicks require appropriate warmth and care from a broody hen or suitable brooder/heat source until they are fully feathered, generally around 6–8 weeks depending on conditions.

For the best chance of successful hatching, we recommend incubating fertile eggs as soon as practical after receiving them, rather than storing them for extended periods.

Shipping

12 fertile eggs per order

All fertile eggs are carefully packed to help protect them during transport; however, we cannot guarantee how parcels will be handled once they enter the Australia Post network.

Orders are sent via Australia Post Express Post on Mondays. If Monday is a public holiday, orders may be sent on Tuesday or held until the following Monday depending on the destination and expected transit time.

Please note: Express Post does not guarantee that eggs will arrive undamaged or within a particular timeframe, and we cannot guarantee fertility or hatch rates after postage.

Our Posting Day

All orders are posted on Mondays via Australia Post and include tracking.

The only times this may change are when:

• Monday falls on a public holiday; or
• Circumstances outside of our control prevent us from posting as scheduled.

Where an order contains both time-sensitive and non-essential products, we will select the most appropriate postage option to ensure your order arrives safely while keeping shipping costs as affordable as possible.

Once your parcel has been lodged with Australia Post, you will be able to follow its progress using the tracking information provided.
