Description:
  • Similar to a Papaya,  Babaco is less sensitive to the cold and can be grown in southern states.
  • The fruit has no seeds. So must be grown from cuttings.
  • Grow to 2-5m
  • Self-pollinating
  • Evergreen

Taste:
  • Champagne fruit has a bubbly texture the flavour is slightly acidic similar to pineapple, and papaya flavour.
  • The fruit makes a refreshing drink when juiced.
Care Instructions: 
  • Needs good drainage, these trees suffer can easily suffer from root rot.  So add perlite or sand to your soil.
  • Happy in part Sun 50-80%
