A hybrid of the yellow Colombian dragon fruit H. megalanthus. Sister to yellow megalanthus.

Small-sized fruit with no thorns

Self-pollinating - We have not hand-pollinated and had fruit set. There is a overwhelming opinion in the dragon fruit-growing community in Australia that these require x pollination. We purchased our original plant from a commercial farm that did not hand-pollinate any of purple megalanthus flowers and had a successful fruit set. We will conduct further testing to confirm the details.
